We are sad to announce that, on March 3, 2026, at the age of 81, Stewart Cates of Edgewood, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, A. L. Cates and Ila Cates; his in-laws, Cliff and Thelma Williams; and his brothers-in-law, Clifford and Danny Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Cates; his sons, Mark Cates and Paul Cates; his daughter-in-law Summer; his grandchildren, Cooper, Gracie and Trinity; and his siblings, Kay Strickland (Jack) and Pat Cates (Susan).
