It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Rhodes Muse of Edinburg, Texas, born in Montgomery, Alabama, who passed away on September 29, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. As William departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though William may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy William leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Phala Louise Rhodes Muse and William Oscar Muse; his sister Barbara Murphy; and his son Dean Lawrence Muse. He is survived by: his wife Norma Olvera Muse; and his children, Dustye Muse-Weiss (Alex) of Tucker, GA, Darren Muse (Maribeth) of Trinidad, CO, Deborah Muse-Legg (Chris) of Marshfield, MO, Edward Garcia of Edinburg, TX and Edrianne Garcia of Edinburg, TX.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
