It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward James Hajek of Edna, Texas, born in Shiner, Texas, who passed away on September 26, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Emil Hajek and Janie Vana Hajek. He is survived by : his wife Wilma Rasmussen Hajek; his children, Dexter James Hajek (Diane) of Alice, Michael Anthony Hajek (Melissa) of Hallettsville, Gretchen Zbranek Dodds (Craig) of Edna and Laya Zbranek Clowers (Shane) of Edna; and his siblings, Betty Lou Novak (Hank) of Shiner and Robert Hajek of Victoria. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
