He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Clinton Scott and Barbara Scott; his wife Jo Ann Belyou; his children, Betsy Pendergast (Jim) of League City and John Scott (Ismael Rangel) of Austin, Texas; his grandchildren, Megan Pendergast and Macey Martin (Stephen); his great grandchild Bowen Martin; his extended family, Jose, Maria Santiago and Edith Jasso (Damon); his sons, Stephen, Daniel Santiago and Gordon; his siblings, Ken (Carol), Steve (Cathy), Randy Scott (Beth) and Barbie Millard (Greg); and his brother-in-law Mike Belyou (Louise). He was also cherished by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Gordon's family requests that memorial contributions be made in his name to the Edna Country Club, 1216 Co Rd 301, Edna, TX 77957.
