He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustine and Kate; and his siblings, Loree, Tad, Gene and Bobby Gilbreath.

He is survived by: his former spouses, Lou Etta Taylor of Carlton and Linda Russell of Hurst; his wife Liz Eberlyn of San Augustine; his stepson Jon; his friends, Merrill, Dean, Bill, Karen and John W.; his children, Steve (Robin), Barry (Elizabeth) and Kelli (Heath); Betty Longino of Carlton, Randy and Mark. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
