He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edwards and Serelder Callis Edwards; his wife Alice Virginia Parson Edwards; his close friend Emma Cheeves; his daughters, Ruth Mae Brown and Tonda Rene Rogers; and his siblings, Alfred Edwards, Lincoln Edwards, Hillery Edwards, Sr., Baby Brother Edwards, Lura Bowman, Essie Lee Edwards, Lorene Edwards Ezelle Edwards and Audrey Edwards.
He is survived by: his grandson Bradrick; his children, Verna Mae Wilson (San Antonio), Theresa Faulcon of Columbia, SC, Cherry Miles and Roy Parson (Galveston); and his grandchildren, Tuteana Miles, Aleecia Robinson, Amos Crear III, Christopher B. Crear, Whitney McDonald, Sparkle Davis, Elaine Muller, Landon Norman, Terry Darthard, Cedric Rogers, Tajika Johnson, Demtria Banks, Lamar Banks and Edward Faulcon (Morris). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel (900 Navidad St, Edna, TX 77957). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
