Glover; her children, Cheryl Ray (Terry) of Mauriceville and Cody Maurice Glover, Jr. (Nancy) of Ganado, Texas; her grandchildren, Chris Ray (Michelle) of Mauriceville, Texas, Kyle Glover of Corpus Christi, Texas, Brooke Glover of Ganado, Texas and James Ray (Rebecca) of Buna, Texas; and her sister JoAnn Smalling of Carrollton. She was also cherished by one niece and three nephews.

“I moved to Edna, Texas in the summer of 1963 before I started my junior year at Edina High School. My family and I placed membership at the church of Christ where Laverne & her family attended. I admired, loved, and looked up to Laverne so much as a young teenager. She made a great impact on my life, and I will cherish those memories forever. What a great loss she left in this world., but I rejoice in her eternal reward. God bless & comfort you. Nelwyn Metting”
