We are sad to announce that, on September 29, 2025, at the age of 95, Maxine Gates of Edna, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Franklin Parker and Jessie Holderreed Parker; her husband Darward Gates; her siblings, Stanley, Thomas, Clifford, Howard, Harold Parker, Helen Parker Evans, Dorothy Parker Porter, Ruth Parker Teal and Geraldine Parker Broome; her son Randy Gerjes; and her grandson Brandon Gerjes.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Gerjes (Robin) and Brenda Jacobs (Timmy); her grandchildren, Shelly Davis, Stephanie Morgan (Chris), Bobbi Jo Biehunko (John), Shannon Srp (Julie), Jake Srp (Shelley) and Josh Srp (Laurel); and her stepgrandchildren, Cory Jacob (Mandy), John Ross Jacobs, Tandi Stewart and Jessica Barnes (Corey). She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
