She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Wasek, and Norma Wasek, Sr.. She is survived by: her sons, Ethan Owen and Jason Arnold; her grandchildren, Hannah, Jackson and Noah; and her brothers, Ed Wasek, Jr. (Nancy) and Eric Wasek (Veronica).
Memorial donations in Rene's memory may be made to Houston Hospice El Campo, or St. Philip's School.
