We are sad to announce that, on March 13, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Steve Porter of El Campo, Texas, born in Houston, Texas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Eugene Porter and Verlee Asman Porter (Lee); and his brother Joe. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Whitehead Porter; his sons, Kirk (Tanya), Mike (Melanie), John (Blair) and Chris (Anastasia); his sister Christy Thompson (Steve) of Colorado Springs, CO; his brother-in-law Charles Whitehead (Diane) of Kyle, TX; his aunt Rebecca Martin of Spring, TX; and his grandchildren, Jake, Abigail, Sophie, Harrison, Caleb, Thom, Sam, Davy and Juniper.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Steve's name to the Northside Center to help open the doors to finalize renovations for the historic Northside Auditorium, 707 Fahrenthold Street, El Campo, TX 77437 (979) 543-6750.
