He is survived by: his wife Anita; his daughters, Yolanda Flores (Fernando), Sophia Castaneda (Adrian), Diane Palacios and Lillian Palacios; his grandchildren, Mireya Flores, Lucas Castaneda and Bianca Castaneda; and his siblings, Chita, Virginia, Yolie, Melecio Jr., Rudy, Mike, Charlie, Becky and Luis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
