She was predeceased by: her parents, George Jackson Smith and Laura Aletha McCulloch; her husband Robert Layton Sumerwell; and her daughter Sara Ruth Adams. She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Ann Rivera (Duffy); her grandsons, John Layton Stanley (Lisa) and Matthew Robert Stanley; and her great grandchild John Francis Stanley.
