He was predeceased by: his wife Debbie Portillo; his daughter Concepcion "Happy" Portillo-Rodriguez; his mother Estela Portillo; and his siblings, Katherine Portillo and Manuel Rodolfo "Rudy" Portillo.
He is survived by: his son Nicholas (Nicole Portillo); his father-in-law Carlos Acosta; his father Manuel Portillo; his siblings, Virginia "Tiny" Ruiz (Joe Ruiz), Arturo Portillo (Helen Portillo), Jorge Portillo (Maria Portillo), Veronica Gomez (Miguel Angel Gomez), Salvador Portillo and Pablo Portillo; his grandchildren, David Hurtado, Karina Rodriguez, Noah Garcia, Stephen Rodriguez, Andrew Rodriguez, Isaac Portillo, Isabella Portillo, Israel Portillo, Jonah Ramirez, Liam Acosta and Vivian Acosta; his great grandchild Stephen Rodriguez II; Christine. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, their spouses and children.
