He was predeceased by: his siblings, Armando Villarreal (Mando), Refugio Murillo (Cuca), Carmen Pinon, Magdalena Duran (Nena), Augustin Ortega (Tito) and David Ortega.
He is survived by: his wife Delia Ortega; his children, Sonia Herrera (Alfonso Herrera), Benito M. Ortega Jr., Javier Ortega (Maria Ortega) and Jaime Ortega; his grandchildren, Marco Antonio Ortega, Adrian Ortega, Benito M Ortega III, Jaime Ortega Jr., Valerie Jolynn Ortega, Julian Hernandez, Karina Ivonne Ortega, Brisa Itzel Candelaria, Joseph Cruz and Daniella Ortega; and his great grandchildren, Royal Hernandez, Josaia Cruz, Madelin Cruz, Penelope Cruz, Elsa May Ortega, Aubry Rayne Ortega and Eziquel Amadeus Ortega. He is also survived by grandchildren & great grandchildren.
