Bette Azar Obituary

We announce the death of Bette Azar (El Paso, Texas), who passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 99. Bette will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Solomon and Kamily Maloof Solomon; her husband Phil; and her son-in-law Dr. Chris Powers. She is survived by: her children, Pam Azar Hunsaker (Scott), Phil Azar, Jr. and Peggy Azar Powers; her grandchildren, Aubrey Ballard, Lindsey Simoson, Christopher Powers, Jr. (Mikal), Sarah Beth Shapleigh (Ben), Vince Knipp (Brandy) and Jeremy Hicks; and her great grandchildren, Johanna, Patrick Ballard, Palmer, Connor, Christopher Powers III, Cate, Claire, Benjamin Shapleigh, Sienna and Ashton Knipp. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
