Chelo Salas Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on September 5, 2025, at the age of 86, Chelo Salas of El Paso, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Chelo's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Chelo has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her great grandchild Xzavier Nico Dutchover; her parents, Rafael Martinez and Consuelo Martinez; and her siblings, Alberto Martinez, Rafael Martinez and Esperanza Yee.
She is survived by: her husband Jose Benito Salas; and her children, Jose Benito Salas Jr., Elvia Consuelo Leyva, Francisco Javier Salas and Alicia Salas Hiraldo. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren and countless family members.
