He is survived by: his wife Maria Dolores Segura Bocanegra (Lola); his children, Debra Ann Bocanegra Martinez (John V. Martinez), Elizabeth Bocanegra Sida (Antonio Sida) and Efren Bocanegra Jr. (JoNella Bocanegra); his grandchildren, Jennifer Nicole Gallinar (David Gerardo Gallinar), John B. Martinez Jr. (Nancy Y. Martinez), Toni Janell Elkurdi (Jordan Ryder Elkurdi), Jeremiah Martinez, Efren Bocanegra III, Ester Bocanegra and Elias Bocanegra; and his great grandchildren, Isabela Elizabeth Gallinar, Mia Gisele Martinez, Ethan Jacob Elkurdi, Aliyah Danielle Elkurdi, Layla Rae Martinez and Lenon Rae Martinez.
