He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Muñiz and Josefina Muñiz; his wife Hortencia Muñiz; and his sisters, Esther Gallardo and Ofelia Godina.

He is survived by: his children, Teresa Muñiz, Felix Muñiz Jr. (Lydia), Graciela Varela (Daniel), Leticia Saucedo (Frank) and Sandra Stevens (John); his grandchildren, Felix Muñiz III, Danny, Amanda Varela, Jacklyne Varela Gomez, Frank, Steven, Jonathan Saucedo, Jake, Jenna, Sarah and Savannah Stevens; and his great grandchildren, Kennedy Gomez, Ryan Gomez and was happily awaiting the arrival of Baby Girl Saucedo.
