He was predeceased by: his wife Yolanda; and his siblings, Dolores Shaw and Rafael Silva. He is survived by: his daughters, Noemi Y. Vargas, Magda Y. Silva, Yolanda Silva and Armida Merritt (Paul); and his grandsons, Adam, Matthew and Zachary.
