He is survived by: his significant other Elva Bertha King; his children, Margie Swearingen (Bob), Irma King, Robert King (Ruth), Richard King, Patricia Gonzalez (Carlos) and Lynda King; and his brothers, Martin and Pedro King. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Throughout his career he received many accolades for his contributions to the community such as hospitals and schools.
