He was predeceased by: his wife Maria (Maya); his son Nicolas; and his parents, Misdraim Chavez and Margarita Chavez. He is survived by: his children, Rachel, Margaret Egan (Larry), Camille, Jaime and Steven (Marisela); and his sister Ruth Endlich. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
