He is survived by: his wife Juana B. Diaz; his children, Javier Diaz Jr. and Leslie Diaz Hernandez; his stepchildren, Leticia Seidon and Ernesto Barrientos; his grandchildren, Alejandro Javier Diaz, Julian A. Hernandez, Ryan J. Seidon, Sydnee E. Seidon, Danielle Contreras and Brittney A. Goss; and his siblings, Sabino Diaz and Maria Isela Saucedo.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East (12400 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79938). A vigil service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (10970 Bywood Dr, El Paso, TX 79936). A committal service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery (5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906).
