He was predeceased by: his parents, Leander Salters (Lilian Shade) and Lord; his grandmother Pauline Salters; and his siblings, Ralph David Shade, James Masale Shade, Paula Rosetta Salters and Debora Bonner.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Salters; his children, Rashad Salters and Chrystal Hamilton-Dorelien; his stepsons, Sieleelea Laumea, Sofeni Laumea, Enoka Laumea, Mugai Laumea and Tauli Garcia; his brother Phillip Shade; and his sister-in-law Linda. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 5 daughters-in-law and 1 son-in-law.
