She was predeceased by: her parents, Guillermo Martínez and Refugio Martínez; and her husband Mario A. Vela. She is survived by: her children, Mario Vela (Michelle), Sergio Vela, Luis Vela (Diane) and Yvette Vela Sexsion (Joe). She is also survived by her six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
