He was predeceased by: his wife Mary E. Rey; his parents, Marcelo Rey and Genoveva Rey; and his brothers, Armando and Jose Luis.
He is survived by: his children, Marcelo Rey III, Cynthia Rey, Rene Rey (Karla Sanchez) and Daniel Rey. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren; his great-grandchild and his five siblings.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the San Jose Funeral Home - East (10950 Pellicano Dr, El Paso, TX 79935). A rosary was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 9:30 AM.
