He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezequiel Montes and Luz Montes (Montoya); and his siblings, Armando, Ezequiel, Bertha Montes and Martha Valadez.
He is survived by: his wife Ana A. Montes; his children, Mario A. Montes (Emily), Mary A. Montes, Carol L. Carrizal (Manny Carrizal) and Michael A. Montes; his grandchildren, Nicole Montes Buckley (Nate), Justin Montes, Derek Montes, Abigail Carrizal, Jonathan Carrizal, Diego Montes and Dante Montes; his great grandchildren, Franklyn Montes Buckley, Arlo Montes Buckley and Eloise Montes Buckley; his brother Robert Montes; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Montes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
