It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Dean Lister of El Paso, Texas, who passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Donald Lister (Don); and his sons, Eddie Ritter and Christopher Lister. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Lister; his sister Amy Lister; his daughter Amy Ritter; his son-in-law Guillermo Ruiz (Willie); his grandchildren, Cameron, Ian, Nathan and Sophia; his great grandchild Anya; and his sibling's children, Hannah Mae and Owen.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM. A prayer will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Homes - Northeast (4631 Hondo Pass Dr, El Paso, TX 79904). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery (5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made in his honor to St. Jude.
