She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Bernal; her son John Bernal; and her parents, Marie Costello and Peter Richard Costello. She is survived by: her children, Paul (Mary Carol Bernal), Matt (Susan Bernal), Ann (Dominick Stea), Tom Bernal (Veronica Saldivar) and Mark Bernal (Kaela Kozlovsky Bernal); her daughter-in-law Catherine Bernal Bloyd; and her grandchildren, Mary Cate Bernal, Annie Bernal (Danny Owens), Robert (Taylor Bernal), John Bernal, Joaquin Bernal, Mary Rose Bernal, Diego Bernal, Mary Clare Bernal, Elizabeth Bernal (Hardie Cate), Christine Bernal, Grace Bernal, Caroline Bernal, Betsy Stea, Dante Stea and Declan Bernal (Aidan Bernal).
