He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rankin and Eleanor Rankin; and his brothers, Michael and Dennis. He is survived by: his wife Mona Rankin; his children, Andrew Rankin, Erin Mendoza (Matthew), Jennifer Carrillo (Suzano) and Jonathon Jones; and his sister Kristi Yanez. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandson.
