She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas "Tommy" Gabriel; her parents, James Veck and Stella Veck; and her siblings, James Veck, Richard Veck and Ruby O'Leary.
She is survived by: her brother William "Bill" Veck; and her stepchildren, Charles Gabriel, Mark Gabriel, Michael Gabriel, Laurie Gabriel and Rosie Gabriel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Sunset Funeral Homes-West (480 Resler Dr, El Paso, TX 79912). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery (4900 McNutt Rd, Santa Teresa, NM 88008).
In lieu of flowers, Rachel requested contributions be made to any no-kill animal charity of your choice or church of your choice.
