With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Maranto Rodriguez (El Paso, Texas), born in Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away on August 25, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Galliano Martina and Faustina Montesi Martina (El Paso); her former husband Sam Maranto Jr.; and her grandson Dominic Christian Castro. She is survived by: her husband Marco Antonio Rodriguez; her siblings, Alda Lasini and Herman Martina of Austin; her daughters, Gina Maranto-Castro, Roseann Maranto Alonso (Santiago Alonso Jr.) and Janice Miller (Miguel); her grandsons, Santiago Alonso III, Andres Alonso, Marco Antonio Alonso, Matthew Charles Miller, Michael Martin Miller (Dana) and Dante Anthony Castro (Evelyn); her great grandchildren, Santiago Alonso IV, Valentina Juliette Alonso and Andres Elijah Castro; and her caregivers, Lupita Soto, Pilar Ortiz and Vicky Munoz.
