He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Valenzuela and Consuelo Davis. He is survived by: his wife Norma Valenzuela; his children, Ruben Valenzuela, David Valenzuela and Raquel Jasso; his grandchildren, Brandon, David Jr., Anthony Jr., Hollie, Megan and Allie; and his children-in-law, Anthony Jasso Sr. and Shannon Valenzuela.
