We are sad to announce that, on August 1, 2025, at the age of 86, Sam Ponzio Jr. (El Paso, Texas) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sam Ponzio Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid Sam farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Sam is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Lee Ponzio; and his children, James Robert Ponzio, Ronald Franklin Ponzio, Sr. (Terri), Sherrie Katherine Gonzales (Daniel), Anthony Alan Ponzio (Cynthia), Arthur Biajo Ponzio (Denyse) and Samuel Orlando Ponzio. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
When the banquet and dance ended with a profit, class members voted to donate the money as a scholarship for a Fabens HS graduate.
