He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Garvin and Nova Garvin; his stepson Royce Hite; and his son Doug Garvin. He is survived by: his former wife Laverne Nichols; his wife Donna Garvin; his daughter-in-law Veronica Garvin of Eldorado; his brother Jim Garvin; his sister-in-law Elaine Garvin of Godley, Texas.; and his brothers, Edmond "Eddie" Garvin of Blackwell and Henson Garvin of Coleman, Texas.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harper Welch Funeral Home (210 W Gillis Ave, Eldorado, TX 76936). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Agape Assembly of God Church (500 E Warner Ave, Eldorado, TX 76936). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at the Schleicher County Cemetery (888 US-190, Eldorado, TX 76936).
