She was predeceased by: her parents, C. J. Schroeder and Margaret Schroeder; and her brother Matthew Schroeder. She is survived by: her husband Hubert Bell, Jr.; and her siblings, Sharon Donovan and James Schroeder (Karen). She is also survived by nieces, great-nieces and nephew, stepchildren, step grandchildren, and step great grandchild.

In honor of Ellen, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one or more of her favorite charities: Friends of Bastrop County Animal Shelter, Bastrop, Texas, San Antonio Doberman Rescue, Devine, Texas, or Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society, College Station, Texas.
