She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ward and Alma Walker of Elgin, Texas.; her son Adam; her grandson Ty'Ryn Mayzone; and her siblings, Faye, Edna, Milton Jr., David and Waymon.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Carter; her son-in-law Kevin Mayes; her daughters, Janet Walker-Earls (Aaron) and Stacy Mayzone; her siblings, Flossie Simmons Denise Thomas (Willie Sr.), Inez Ward, Joseph Mayzone and Johnny Ward; her grandchildren, Ebony Nash (Jeremey), Stasha Walker, Brandon Walker-Benford (Justin) and T'Nya Senegal; her great grandchildren, Tyrasia, Jazzlyn Jamauri, Kamauri, Kane, Jordan Marie and Stoni; and her great great grandchildren, Koby and Kali.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church (701 N Main St, Elgin, TX 78621). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
