She was predeceased by: her parents, Bemmie Lee and Opal Lavonna Fiew (Price); her siblings, Donald Ray Fiew, Chester Lee Fiew, Bemmie Lee Fiew Jr., Jane New and Beverly Ann Lowry; her sons, Charles William Nickel, Robert Allen Nickel and Michael Anthony Nickel; her great grandchild Hannah Rebecca Rodriguez; and her foster son Johnny Fitzgerald.
She is survived by: her former husbands, William Eugene Nickel and Lawson Balch; her husband Chester Leon Newman, Sr.; her children, Doris Rodriguez (Ricky) and Randy Nickel (Pam); and her siblings, Cythia Nell Findley, Peggy Joyce Schautteet and James Arnold Fiew. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
