He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Morris and Winnie Morris; his wife Melba (Jackson); his in-laws, John and Mandy Jackson; and his son-in-law Kenny Freitag.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly Simmons (David), Joe Morris (Sue) and Jackie Dodd (Mickey); his grandchildren, Philip Morris (Karen), Douglas Freitag (Bethann), Kayla Koester (Chris) and Kadie Zamora (Darren); and his great grandchildren, Lettie Morris, Landon, Kaden, Mason Freitag, Addy, Jackson Koester and Kollyns Zamora.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dud's honor can be made to The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, The Museum of the Pacific in Fredericksburg or the Lee County Veterans Memorial Park in Giddings.
