Marguerite Abel Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on July 5, 2022, at the age of 79, Marguerite Abel of Elgin, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Guy Smith and Maurine Smith; her husband Jerry Abel; her children, Shirley Parmelee (Mark Sheffield), Charlotte Glenn and Russell Abel (Lisa); her grandchildren, Johanna Sheffield Kim (John), Mark Wade Sheffield (Gabriela), Hannah Glenn Sacia (Chris), Alex Glenn, Caroline Glenn, Allison Abel, Ashley Abel, Cris Ortiz and Andy Ortiz; her great grandchildren, Coleman and Amelia Kim; her brother-in-law Bobby Abel (Peggy); her niece Janis Hyde; and her nephew James Abel. She was also cherished by numerous extended family and dear friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in Marguerite's Memory to the First United Methodist Church of Elgin, American Cancer Research, or Alzheimer's Association.
