It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matilde Hernandez of Elgin, Texas, who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ignacio Rangel and Olivia Rangel; and her brother Martin Rangel. She is survived by: her husband Pete Hernandez; her sisters, Eloise Gonzalez and Sally Torres; her children, Arturo Hernandez (Janie), Wally Hernandez (Marcaria), Gilbert Hernandez (Lupe), Rosemary Hadi (Habib) and Debbie Maldonado (Roy); and her grandchildren, DeAnna Ervin, Amy Vasquez, Shahram Hadi, Arthur Hernandez Jr. (Crystal), Andrew Hernandez (Krystal), Amanda Hernandez, Laura Gutierrez (Phillip), Roy Anthony Maldonado Jr., Daniella Maldonado, Gabriella Hernandez, Christian Hernandez and Angelica Hernandez.
