He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Betak and Lucy Betak; his wife Gloria Matthews Betak; and his brothers, Charlie, Edward, James and Roy.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Deane Betak and Tanya Raylene Betak; his grandson Benjamin Lee Betak (Melanie); and his great grandchild Avalon Belle.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home (604 TX-95, Elgin, TX 78621). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Elgin City Cemetery (901 W 2nd St, Elgin, TX 78621).
