He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph F. Metcalfe and Louise Taylor Metcalfe; his wife Sue Metcalfe; his siblings, Josephine Metcalfe Smith (Palmer), Brooks Metcalfe (Jean) and Joseph F. Metcalfe, Jr. (Barbara); and his nephews, Francis P. Smith and Joseph F. Metcalfe III.
He is survived by: his children, Katherine Louise James (Bruce), Barbara Jo Ebner (Terry), Taylor Warren Metcalfe, Jr. (Pam) and Eleanor Sue Bishop (Troy); and his brother-in-law James Duff Ross (Yvonne). He is also survived by his four children: six grandchildren: fifteen great-grandchildren.
