It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa Manning of Elkhart, Texas, who passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Clyde Jones and Audrey Mae Meredith; her husband Charlie Lee Manning; and her siblings, Jacquelyn Morris, Lucy Beth Rogers and Billy Clyde Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Kaye Young (Eddie) of Elkhart, Anita "Gayle" Rogers (Lowell) of Elkhart and Charles Preston Manning (Ann) of Asheville; her grandchildren, Leo James "Jamie" Beck, Kevin Wayne Marak, Jason Leith Beck, Eric Wayne Marak, Christopher Wayne Marak and Sarah Elizabeth Sparrowhawk; and her great grandchildren, Jamie Beck, Kevin Marak, Jason Beck, Christopher Marak, Leith Beck and Rylan Marak. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed towards Elkhart Food Pantry, 424 West Parker Street, Elkhart, Texas 75839.
