It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Stone of Emory, Texas, who passed away on October 4, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Fred and Susie Mae Morris Stone; and his daughter-in-law Debbie Stone. He is survived by : his wife Helen Hatley; his brothers, Jimmie and Johnnie (Jan); his brother-in-law Pat Hatley; his children, Wesley Stone (Tammy) and Carol Scott (Ricky); his grandchildren, Tim, April, Kandi, David, Sasha, Jason, Billy Jack, Christine, Presley and Lexie; his great grandchildren, DJ, Alex, Victoria, Jordyn, Kordell, Katelynn, AJ, Elizabeth, Micah, Kagen, Haiden, Dallas, Eli, Bryan, Cooper and Harper; his great great grandchildren, Arthur, Adilyn and Numerous; and his friends, Amanda and Tara.

Justin Hall wrote a sympathy message

“I joined Divide Baptist Church 11 years ago. Jack and Helen were already members. I can recall Jack singing beautifully and absorbing the great, good news of Jesus. When he prayed, he was sincerely talking to the Father and I'm so glad I got to hear those prayers. What a lovely and Godly man. His earthly temple wore down, but the Holy Spirit inside him has transported his soul to eternal perfection. Peace, blessings and comfort to Sister Helen and all the family with much love and gratitude.”
