He is survived by : his mother Ruth Gowin of Emory, Texas; his children, Brandon Gowin of Henderson, Texas, Kayla Gowin and Destiny Gowin of Bells, Texas; his grandchildren, Aubrey Carpenter, Payton Gowin, Paisley Brookshire and Lucas Brookshire; and his great grandchild Patsley Gowin. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
