She was predeceased by: her father Calvin Johnson. She is survived by: her mother Annie Wade Johnson; her husband James Burns; and her children, Daren Davis (Carrie), Michelle Burns (Don), Coy Terry (Carmen), Stacy Gilbreath (Jerry), Valerie Barnes, Donna Busby, Tonya Scroggins and Michael Burns (Keara). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 15 Great-grandchildren as well as numerous cousins.

“Sherry Burns had a smile and a laugh for everyone she encountered. Even when she became ill, she still came to support charities and join her friends at chili cook offs. Always one to help and to be supportive to James in his CASI duties, she will be greatly missed. She is no longer in pain or suffering.
