It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karla Jane Roffee of Enloe, Texas, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on April 21, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Carl Nord and Genevieve Swanson (Kittendorf); her husband Barton Wesley Roffee; her sons, Barton W. Roffee (Kathy) of Richardson, Texas and Daniel W. Roffee (Lori) of Cooper, Texas; her grandchildren, Daniel H. Roffee, Benjamin M. Roffee, Andrew J. Roffee (Ali), Erika N. Blount (Sam) and Julia R. Roffee; her great grandchildren, Skylar, Ava, Nathan and Jameson; and her siblings, Norma J. Wren (Louis) of Riverdale, Warren Swanson of Omaha and Wayne Swanson of Iowa City. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

“Our sincere condolences to the Roffee Family. Karla was a quite, and sincere person. She stitched gloves, etc. & sent them to children in Iowa where they were needed most! We met her when she became a member of our Bluegrass Family in Paris, TX. When that event closed, she & her son Dan found a place in Enloe, TX & Dan renovated the old bank building into a "Happy Place" for Bluegrass Fans, all the time backed by Karla, still stitching!
