It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Billy Eugene Whittington in Ennis, Texas, who passed away on July 28, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Desmond and Eva; his siblings, Lorenze, Ray, Doris and Verna; and his daughter Dana.

He is survived by: his wife Delores June Whittington; his children, Randy, Rhonda (Bill), Cheryl (Wes), Cindy (Ray) and Dariel (Terri); his son-in-law Jim Walker; his sister Shirley Whittington Joplin; and his sister-in-law Betty Bell. He is also survived by 50 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, plus a host of nieces and nephews.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Delores once, but she was a vibrant, interesting woman. I wish I'd had the opportunity to know her better. I am so very sorry that you've lost them both so closely together. I cannot imagine how difficult this must be. You are all in my prayers! Kathy Hopkins”
