He was predeceased by: his parents, L. E. Garrett and Ella B. Garrett; his brothers, Robert (Buck) and Willie Garrett; and his great grandchild Daniel K. Lloyd.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Walmart and Pepper; his significant other Linda G. Wills of Rice; his children, Michael Garrett (Tammy) of Lubbock, TX, Tamra Harwell (David) of Rice, TX and Brandy Crim (Jeffery) of Ennis; his grandchildren, Dustin Garrett (Kristie), Brittany Martin, Taylon Garrett, Stephanie Martin and Devon Lloyd (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Stevie Rae, Julia, Lennon and Oaklynn; and his close friends, Gary Archibald, Amanda Corvin, Abby, Scarlett, Tamara and Sherry.
In leiu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the music dept of New Mexico Junior College.
