He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nichols and Libby Nichols; and his brother Jimmy. He is survived by: his wife Lorrie; his children, JD Nichols (Carrie), Alex Nichols (Joey), Ashlyn Nichols (Van Chapman), Stephanie Roth, Laura Haskovec (Doug), Donna Roth (Patty), Troy Roth (Kate) and Tracy Roth; his grandchildren, Addie, Bowen Nichols, Aley, Avery Nichols, Iyona Williams, Ervin, Theresa, Mary Haskovec and Presley Roth; and his siblings, Jane Nichols (Kay Young), Johnny Nichols (Kathy), Jerold Nichols (Katie), Joni Braddock (Ricky), Jina Nichols, J'Lane Oliver and Jeff Nichols (Jana). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
